Morning Format

Play is divided into 5 flights (A through E) based on playing ability.   After 18 holes of play in the morning, the lowest 6 gross scores from each flight qualify for the afternoon playoff.

Players 65 and older compete in Senior Flight, which is a low-gross competition with no playoff.

Guests and first-time players compete in Guest/Qualifier Flight, which is decided using the Calloway scoring system with no playoff.

All ties are decided by match of cards (hardest handicap hole to easiest handicap hole).

Playoff Format

The six qualifiers from each flight (A thorugh E) participate in a six-hole low-gross playoff after lunch.

The player with the lowest gross score in each flight is crowned the winner of his flight and the winner of "A Flight" takes possession of the John B. Kelly Trophy for one year as the East Falls Golf Champion.

A tie for first in "A Flight" is decided in a sudden death playoff.    All other ties are decided by match of cards (hardest handicap hole to easiest handicap hole).
